It’s not a matter of if, but a matter of when…
Possibly the most critical, overlooked, and potentially devastating part of any network and we see it all too often. Networks of all sizes, businesses of all types, relying daily on their systems and data to be available on demand…and no backup solution.
The digital world we live in today is exciting but it is also fragile. Even the best hardware made today can crash easily for a variety of reasons rendering your business critical data to nothing. A strong enough power surge can literally fry the 0’s and 1’s that make up your database in a fraction of a second.
A reliable backup solution by today’s standards requires more than tapes and external hard drives. Tapes often fail and require a rotation schedule while hard drives are susceptible to the same damage that threatens your servers.
PCN uses a current modern day solution to ensure your data is safely and reliably backed up both on and offsite. Our method guarantees the fastest recovery of your data in the event of a system crash resulting in data loss. The reality is that hardware fails, but it doesn’t have to bring your network down.
Why offsite and onsite?
The offsite backup is critical in backing up and protecting your valuable data. This method protects against hardware failures and localized damage such as fire, flooding, vandalism/theft. Since data is stored offsite on redundant and secure servers, data can be restored quickly to get your business back up and running.
Our onsite/offsite method of backup uses one component to manage both tasks simultaneously without any impedance on your network. The benefit of having your data backed up onsite is in the ability to restore lost data very quickly. Whereas offsite backups can restore data, it needs to be transferred from offsite servers over the internet. The onsite backup is a local device and because it connected physically to your network, the restore process is much faster.
